![]() ![]() Although I must admit, I think the victims upstaged the H/h in this book-whenever the teenage victim was written about, the book became more interesting and suspenseful for me. This story reads a lot like a Karen Rose book-lots of good suspense with a creepy, evil villain (although not as diabolical as a Rose villain), and strong characters ( a newspaper reporter heroine a hero who uses his psychic gifts to help solve crimes) to root for. The first 100 pages are so are used to set up the story, and set up the series, so there are a few things to keep straight, but you're not overloaded. However, once I was able to devote more time to it, it got harder to put it down, and the book took off for me. I kept having to put it down, pick it up, put it was hard to keep the tension going reading it that way. ![]() ![]() I'm sure this book would've been a whole lot more enjoyable if I could've made some time to read it consistently. Don't do what I did (if you can help it) and drag this read out for a week. ![]()
