The story begins with a portrait of Holmes, a Stanford dropout whose ambition to revolutionize the medical industry was seemingly boundless. The book, authored by John Carreyrou, unravels the rise and fall of Theranos, the now–defunct blood testing startup founded by Elizabeth Holmes. ![]() ![]() In an age where trust in technology seems almost blindly unconditional, "Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup" is a timely reminder that, behind the glossy veneer of innovation and excitement, there can lurk an abyss of deception.
